BRADLEY — Acorn rallied from 10 points down in the fourth quarter to defeat Mount Vernon-Enola, 65-60, in the Class A regional quarterfinals here.
With Acorn trailing 60-59, the Lady Tigers’ Adriana Hill scored with 2.5 seconds left to give her team a one-point lead. MV-Enola then was assessed a technical foul for calling a timeout it didn’t have and the Lady Tigers hit four straight free throws.
Acorn outscored the Lady Warhawks, 18-3, over the last 3:30.
MV-Enola one of its most successful seasons in history at 33-4.
