Submission of Wedding Announcements

To submit a wedding announcement, copy and paste the form below in an email addressed to along with any photos to be included with the announcement, and fill in the fields as specified.
Please send photos in jpg. format. Any wedding videos should be sent in .mov format.

Please review the following guidelines below before sending an announcement:

The deadline for publication is noon each Monday prior to the Sunday that is requested for an announcement to run. Announcements may be run on other days as requested when the information is submitted a week in advance.

Articles about a wedding ceremony should be received at the Log Cabin Democrat within two months after the wedding date.

Additional Guidelines:

Please be careful of spellings. Please specify if anyone is deceased or a stepparent. Please use “Mr.,” “Ms.,” “Miss” and other courtesy titles where appropriate.
The Log Cabin Democrat reserves the right to edit all information provided.
Names of wedding or reception directors, caterers, florists and photographers are available for publication in the Log Cabin Democrat.

Wedding Announcement Fees: The “Our Style” section of the Sunday paper offers a front page placement option that must be scheduled in advance with a $25 non-refundable reservation fee.

FRONT PAGE OPTIONS: Option A: The first 700 words and 1 color photo will be printed for $250. Any additional words over the first 700 will print for .65 cents per word and additional photos are $20 each. Option B: The first 450 words and 2 color photo will be printed for $250. Any additional words over the first 450 will print for .65 cents per word and any additional photos are $20 each.

INSIDE PAGE OPTIONS: The first 500 words and 1 black & white photo will print for $75. Any words over the first 500 will print at .65 cents per word. Additional photos are optional with a $10 fee per photo submitted. Color photos are optional with an additional $10 fee per photo.

Couples are welcome to submit a wedding video for online viewing on There is a 15 minute time limit and the charge is $50. The video will be online for 60 days. Submit video in .mov format to the email address listed above.
