Sallie Cone Elementary to host Miss and Mr. Conway Christmas Pageant
The Miss and Mr. Conway Christmas Pageant will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at Sallie Cone Elementary Auditorium across from the Faulkner County Fairgrounds. This pageant is to collect toys for Toys For Tots to be distrubuted to needy families during the holiday season.
A portion of entry fees will also be donated to Sallie Cone Elementary school to help further the education of those students.
The Miss and Mr. Conway Christmas Pageant is open to all Arkansas residents, girls, ages newborn through 25 years of age, and boys, ages newborn thru 4 years old. Contestants will compete in Pageant Attire (dress, evening gown or Tux) or Sunday Best. An optional photogenic category also available.
Winners in each of the eight girls divisions and two boys divisions will receive: Beautiful Christmas crown, monogrammed sash, cape and silver tray. Each winner will be invited to ride in the Conway Christmas Parade, at 6 p.m. Saturday (This is optional... not mandatory.) Cars will be provided by Crain Auto Dealership. Photogenic winners will get a trophy. Three beauty alternates will be named in every division. Each contestant will receive a participation award.
A special Community Queen or King will be awarded to the contestant who collects and brings the most toys (judged by amount of toys and retail dollar amount) to the pageant to be donated to Toys for Tots. Marine Staff Sgt. Joiner will be at the pageant to collect the donations and present this award. This winner will get a large crown, sash and red satin cape. This is awarded separately from the pageant.
Entry fees are $35 for beauty, $10 for photo and $5 for extra photos.
Door Admission: free with a new, unwrapped toy. Without a toy, admission is: $5 for adults, $3 for ages 5 - 12, and Free for ages 0 - 4.
Vendors will be available to set up tables with cash and carry items for sale. A limited number of tables are available for $50 each. Concessions will be available during the pageant.
