Champs crowned at tennis ball

Champions were crowned in three divisions last weekend at the third Conway Tennis Ball.

The competition attraced 100 players, age 7 to 77. The junior event was held Friday night with players divided into two divisions based on ability.

The adult competition was a revolving mixed doubles event where an A and B players were assigned as a team, then swapped partners as the moved up the bracket. Every player played at least three matches with three different players.

The winners were:

Junior A Division

1. Jon Mark Rowden / Gabrielle Rowden; 2nd place. Nathan Farris / Alex Lybarger; 3.Chris Dussourd / Udai Garimella

Junior B Division

1. Nick Brady / Hart Denton; 2. Andrew Duncan / Karthik Garimella; 3. Josh Summit / Josh Wilson.

Adult Division

Winners: Daniel Velasco / Chris Edquist.

Finalist: Adam Brown / Cassie Booth.

Consolation winners: Ed Reed / Aeden Sangka.
