Sonshine Academy cheerleaders earn awards

The Sonshine Academy Cheer Force All Star Cheerleading Squads participated Nov. 5 in the Spirit of the South Cheerleading Competition in Jonesboro.

The Chicks squad finished first in the Mini Prep division and won Grand Champion for the Youth and Under divisions.

Members of the Chicks Squad participating were Abby Bankston, Aneesia Harris, Baylea Johnson, Braylin Powers, Brooke Humbert, Elise Moix, Emily Simpson, Erin Bradley, Hannah Evans, Jordan Scott, Kaleigh Floyd, Kinsley Hoppers, Laura Heifner, Lindzie Lunsford, Lexy Litton, Madeline Schultz, Madison Vangilder, Madison Walker, Nikki Corsere, Rachael Mahan, Rachael Champagne, Rayvon Williams, Sarah Guinee, Sarah Hays and Shea Ashby.

The Chicks Squad is coached by Krystal Carr, Jen Davison, Mandy Gates and Renee Lawrence.

The Hawks squad finished second in the Mini division.

Members of the Hawks squad are Hailey Hawks, Abigayle Childress, Ellie Childress, Sarah Gould, Ann Marie Arnett, Grace Lilly, Chelsea Ellison, Chloe Porter, Hannah McGee, Marianne Burnett, Annabelle Bland, Katie Crawford, Polly Swindle, Kelsie Roland, Ashton Ellis, McKenna Arnold and Haley Carpenter.

The Hawks are coached by Krystal Carr, Jen Davison and Courtney Powell.

The Eagles squad placed first in the Junior Prep division.

Members of the Eagles squad are Madison Cole, Rayne Cottrell, Gracie Engelkes, Emily Fahr, Karre Hoppers, Christina Johnson, Emily Luck, Chandler McCrary, Khayla McKay, Sidney Beth Meriweather, Haylee Mitchell, Caroline Osborn, Hannah Porter, Emile Shaw, Morgan Stockton, Symantha Ussery, Mackenzie Vangilder and Sarah Jo Wright.

The Eagles are coached by Bubba Corbitt, Renee Lawrence and Sarah Marsh.

The Falcons squad placed first in the Senior Prep Coed division.

Members of the Falcons squad are Amanda Bankston, Anna Crawford, Taylor Baney, Elizabeth Cole, Candice Bailey, Caitlin Lobb, Andrea Bryant, Wayne Dickerson, Megan Palmer, Alexa Reed, Samantha Townsend, Ashley Humbert, Symantha Ussery, Sarah Jo Wright, Emile Shaw and Christina Johnson.

The Falcons are coached by Sarah Marsh and Renee Lawrence.
