Mount Vernon will have its annual Arbor Day celebration Nov. 14. The Mount Vernon Senior Citizen Center will be in charge of the festivities this year.

This will be the seventh year Mount Vernon has had the honor of participating in the Tree City USA program. The tree planting ceremony will be in the City Park at 9 a.m.

All are invited to attend. There will be refreshments served following the ceremony.
