* Today and Saturday Dazzle Daze will be held the Don Owen Sports Center. Dazzle Daze is a holiday shopping extravaganza that serves as the Conway Regional Women's Council's principal fundraiser with proceeds being directed into health care projects that support health care services at Conway Regional Health System. Tickets will be available online at www.dazzledaze.com/raffle, the Conway Regional Health Foundation Office at 702 Western St. or from any participating Women's Council member.
* Nov. 7 Woolly Hollow State Park, one mile north of Greenbrier, will host a herb workshop on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Teresa Passmore, gardener and herbalist, and Julie Lovett, park interpreter, will discuss how to harvest herbs and the different methods of drying and storing them. Fee for this workshop is $20 and includes a herb-infused lunch. Reservation are required. Deadline for registration is Friday, Nov. 2. * Nov. 10 The Plumerville Veterans Committee parade and celebration for all the veterans of Conway County. The parade will start at 11 a.m. with the celebration to follow in the city park. * Nov. 11 Tickets to "Anna: Celtic Origins" Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Robinson Center Music Hall in Little Rock are now available exclusively through the Arkansas Educational Television Network Foundation. * Nov. 13 The Faulkner County Retired Teachers Association will hold its monthly meeting at 2:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church at 1719 Robinson Avenue in Conway. Mr. Audie Lynch, FCRTA member and World War Veteran, will deliver a presentation entitled, "World War II Experiences Remembered." * Nov. 23-Dec. 16 "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus." Features the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre. * Sundays Bearers of Light, a free support group for families that have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death, meets the second Sunday of each month. The support group is an extension of the Resolve Through Sharing bereavement program at Conway Regional. The perinatal bereavement program is designed to addresses a family's individual needs through supportive care in the hospital as well as follow-up care. Bearers of ight is a parent-led, self-help group guided by professionals who attend the meetings to provide information and facilitate group discussion.
