Conway's Arbor Day committee will celebrate the arrival of the fall planting season on Saturday.

The Conway Arbor Day 2008 celebration promises to be filled with learning for the entire family. It will be held at Laurel Park on Prince Street beginning at 10 a.m.

There will be a brief program with participation by Conway students, a proclamation by Mayor Tab Townsell, and an art display of winners in the Arbor Day Young Artists Awards.

There will be prizes, refreshments, inflated bounce rooms, entertainment, contests and mini-seminars taking place concurrently around the park to educate attendees on helpful tree informationhow to select, prune and plant trees correctly.

There will also be young trees available for "adoption."
