The University of Central Arkansas has released more information concerning the two students killed in Sunday night's campus shooting.

Ryan Henderson, 18, was a freshman who had not yet declared a major. Chavares Block, 19, was a sophomore pre-engineering major from Dermott who first enrolled in the university in Fall 2007.

Two events organized to mourn the loss of these two students have been announced:

A candlelight memorial arranged by the UCA Student Government Association to take place tonight at 5 p.m. at the UCA Fountain

And a prayer vigil to take place at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday at Ida Waldran Auditorium on behalf of all religious registered student organizations.

Counseling for UCA students, faculty and staff is available through the UCA Counseling Center at four campus locations:

State Hall

Arkansas Hall (1st Floor Study Room Mini Lobby)

Harrin Hall (Room 117)

And the UCA Counseling Center (Student Health Center, Suite 327).

Sen Gilbert Baker, R-Conway, and his Democratic challenger, Joe White, also of Conway, released this joint statement today:

"This is a tragic and difficult time for UCA and the community. We should all come together to help and comfort those touched by this act of violence. UCAPD and our other first responders deserve recognition for their work to keep our campus and our community safe. Our prayers are with the families of all those affected."

Both campaigns agreed to cease public activity today, though a White campaign event including Gov. Mike Beebe at Centennial Valley Country Club could not be cancelled, according to campaign manager Alex Bissell.
