
   
Sturgis receives rave reviews for role as Stella
Nisi Sturgis formerly of Conway, received rave reviews for her portrayal of Stella in "A Streetcar Named Desire" presented at the Shakespeare Theare in Madison, N.J.
The famous play was written by Tennessee Williams and was directed by Bonnie Monte.
Monte once worked with Tennessee Williams which she treasures as one of the best experiences of her life.
Blythe Danner, mother of Gwyneth Paltrow, who had appeared in "A Streetcar Named Desire" came to see this production. She went backstage to hug Sturgis for her great performance and she said, "you nailed it, honey!"
This winter, Sturgis will be playing Lady Anne in Richard III at the Denver Center Theatre Awards: Nisi won the National Kennedy Center Irene Ryan and the Williamstown Theatre Festival Scholarship in 2000. She was also an Ovation Nomination for Best Year by an Actress in 2007.
