Peter Joseph "Pete" Schrag, 48, of Greenbrier died Thursday (Sept. 13, 2007).

The son of Fred and Nancy (Herron) Schrag of Morro Bay, Calif., Pete was born on June 8, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pa. When he was 2, the family moved to California. At the age of 20, Pete moved to Arkansas, where he has since resided.

 

Pete was the former owner of In-line Auto in Damascus and considered by many as the best auto mechanic around. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt.

Pete was a member of the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene and an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society and Faulkner County Relay for Life.

Pete will be remembered as a loving husband and father whose priorities were his faith and his family. His spiritual convictions were his greatest asset. He was a friend to everyone he met.

Pete is survived by his loving wife Melissa "Missy" Mavity-Schrag; children, Kala, Kolby and Kyler; his parents; three brothers, Fred, Mike and John; a sister, Bernadette Schrag, all of California; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Bob Schrag.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 16, 2007) at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, (Sept. 17, 2007) at the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
