PROGRESSIVE CLUB
Members of the Progressive Club will have the first meeting of the 2004-2005 year at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the farm home of Lloyd and Connie Westbrook. A dinner is planned for members and spouses.
New officers were installed at the home of Julia Fraser in May. Officers include Connie Westbrook, president; Beverly Freiley, first vice president; Joanne Henderson, second vice president; Polly Bruckner, treasurer; Pansy Westrich, recording secretary; Endrea Carroll, assistant recording secretary; Virginia Moon, corresponding secretary; Ola Hawks, historian; and Theresa Allred, parliamentarian.
All meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of each month.

AARP
Conway Chapter 796, AARP, recently donated items to local community organizations.
President Nancy Chappell presented Debra Robinson, executive director of the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Program, with a donation of paper towels, cleaning supplies and cash.
Chappell also made a donation on behalf of the club to the Women's Shelter of Central Arkansas. The donation was a collection of toiletry items and goodies for the children at the shelter. Members brought and made cloth bags to present to the children.
