It was announced today that M.M. Hiegeland Thessing Jr., owner and operators of two grocery stores here, had dissolved partnership, and Mr. Hiegel would take charge of the store at 807 Court Street, and Mr. Thessing would assume control of the store at 1004 Oak Street. The Hiegel-Thessing partnership was formed May 1, 1919, and the store developed into one of the largest groceries in Arkansas. It branched out with two new stores several years ago. One of the stores, however, was closed about four months ago. The Court Street store would be known as M.M. Hiegel and Sons, Mr. Hiegel said.
Clyde Connell, who had been employed in the Missouri Pacific station at Clarksville, is now working in the local freight office.
Sara Frances and Robert Ward of Monticello were visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Sandeford.

Mrs. A. M. LedbetterJr. and her daughter, Mrs. Howard R. Montgomery, and granddaughter, Judy Montgomery, were visiting in Green Bay, Wisc.
Karen Brazier celebrated her birthday at her home. Attending the celebration were Kathy Adams, Terry Virgie, Tommie and Lynda Victory, Harriet Beatty, Betty Marie Poe, David and Kathy Walls, Kerry and Cindy White, David and Judy McPhearson, Pamela and Gloria Hensley, Janie Holcomb, Dorothy, Bill and Joe Hopkins.
The Conway Model Airplane Club held its second meeting at Elmer's Repair Shop. Capp Shanks was elected president. Other officers included Joe McHenry and David Bailey. Plans were completed for the club's first model airplane contest to be held at the Young Business Men Association Fairgrounds in September.

The yard of the home of the Paul Krause family was selected as the yard of the month by the City Beautiful Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. The home was located at 2006 Michelle Circle.
The George Bowie family of near Enola was named the 1983 Faulkner County Farm Family of the Year. The family lived on their 1,800-acre farm that was located four miles west of Enola off Highway 310. They had 700 acres of cultivated land, planted in soybeans, maize and wheat. They had 500 acres of pasture and raised Simmental mixed-breed cattle.

Mrs. Carol Wilcox Parker of Greenbrier, died at Conway Regional Medical Center. Born Feb. 12, 1955, in Conway, a daughter of Joe C. and Shelby Jean Wilcox of Greenbrier. She was a teacher in the Conway School District. In addition to her parents, survivors were two daughters, Rachel Parker and Katherine Parker, three brothers and a sister.
Employees started moving into a new municipal court building. The building was the first completed project funded by the $25 million bond issue approved by voters in October. The building would help alleviate overcrowding at the Conway Police Department where municipal court had previously been held. The new building was at 810 Parkway.
