Close Knit Faith Community at St. Joseph is 'Knitting for Noggins'

Published Friday, August 15, 2008

A Close Knit Faith Community of St. Joseph Catholic Church has shifted its focus from making lap robes for the nursing home gift fund to Knitting for Noggins, benefitting the Arkansas Children's Hospital.

A day of prayer and reflection was held recently with participants from Conway and surrounding communities.

The group was led by Sister Diane Langford, a member of the Congregation of Divine Providence, Langford related life to yarn and knitting with a theme of, "Co-operating with God: Stitching the Pattern of Our Lives."

A Close Knit Faith Community meets mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 in the fellowship hall on Wednesday behind St. Joseph Primary School. People of all faiths are welcome. Yarn and patterns are provided, or participants can bring your own.

Knitters and crocheters should bring their "tools" of choice.
