Program: Food Stamps

Where: 1000 E. Siebenmorgan Road

When: Office hours are 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Description: D.H.S. determines eligibility and benefit amount for households in need of food for a nutritional diet. The allotment amount is based on household size, income and resources.

Program: Medicaid

Age: Children under 18 years of age and medically needy persons

Description: Local D.H.S. determines eligibility for medical services through the Medicaid program. Services include hospitalization, prescription drugs, and doctor's services to persons meeting income and resource tests.

Program: Division of Children and Family Services

Where: 1000 E. Siebenmorgan Road

When: Office hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Description: Provides services for children, who are at risk of being abused, neglected, exploited and have serious emotional problems.

Program: Division of Services for the Blind

Age: Arkansans of any age

Where: 1000 E. Siebenmorgan Road

When: Office hours are 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Description: DHS offers referral services to the Division of Services for the Blind. This division offers rehabilitation services to the blind and severely visually impaired. It helps people live independently and find and keep jobs. The Arkansas Radio Reading Services for the Blind is also operated by this division.

Program: Division of Developmental Disabilities

Description: Services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Program: Transitional Employment Assistance

Where: 1000 E. Siebenmorgan Road

When: Office hours are 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Description: Local DHS provides monthly cash assistance to needy families with dependent children under the age of 18; case management

activities to move families from dependency to self-sufficiency through

employment. Must meet income and resource test.
