The December death of a Greenbrier teen has led to the recent arrest of a 35-year-old woman.
Victoria Mulina of Blair Road in Greenbrier was arrested Friday on suspicion of manslaughter. She was in court Monday for her first appearance proceedings, where she was ordered held without bond.
Joshua K. Evans, 17, was found dead at a friend's Highway 285 East home on Dec. 20. According to Faulkner County Coroner Patrick Moore, Evans died of a drug overdose. The teen was found lying in the floor and Moore said Evans likely died sometime the evening before, when "several young people were out there."
Moore added it has taken this long to get the toxicology results from the State Crime Lab, and that's why the arrest was made now.
Authorities believe Mulina is the person who sold Evans the drugs that killed him. Arkansas State Police investigators made the arrest. Mulina is scheduled to be back in court Monday.
