Among reports recently generated by local law enforcement agencies:

1. Criminal mischief at numerous locations at and around 1015 Davis St. (Conway High School-East). Officers and residents discovered graffiti at the school and five other nearby properties Thursday morning. The vandal or vandals used black spray paint to mar the newly completed north building with crude and vulgar drawings and phrases, as well as the name of a Web site, erowid.org, that is dedicated to psychedelic hallucinogenic drugs. This Web site address appeared at almost all crime scenes. "SHS Rules" was also found painted at the school.

Also apparently popular with the vandals, if their graffiti is anything to go by, are the music groups Bassnectar and STS9, both of which produce a kind of electronic techno-pop. Peace symbols were also painted on two vehicles parked outside of one Watkins Street home. At another home just down the street the word "drunk" was painted on the door of a truck with an accompanying "D" on the hood. At a nearby Mitchell Street home, a crude image of a skull with a lightning bolt, believed to be an emblem of the band The Grateful Dead, was painted on a garage door. "I think that's what it's supposed to be," a resident said. "They aren't very good artists."

In total, the vandals caused well over $2,000 in damage. The crime was captured by school surveillance cameras, and other evidence is being reviewed by school officials and Conway Police Department personnel. The incidents do not appear to be gang-related.

2. Fleeing at Donaghey Avenue and West Street. Officers were notified that Tony DeJuan Cartwright, 26, 1620 Middle Road, a man wanted on a felony warrant for robbery, was travelling in a white Honda Civic on Thursday afternoon. The vehicle was spotted on Meadowlake by an officer, who attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop, failing to yield at Meadowlake Road and West Streets and almost colliding with another vehicle. The vehicle came to a stop at Susan Lane and Cartwright fled on foot. Officers were unable to track Cartwright on foot through, but did locate an item of clothing belonging to the man. K-9 Taxi, a CPD police dog, was brought to the scene and began tracking the suspect, but CPD Detective Brian Williams located the man first. He was hiding under a canoe behind a home. Cartwright was arrested and charged with second-offense fleeing on foot and criminal trespass and probation violation. Michael DeShaun Perry, 19, 2450 Peabody Drive, the vehicle's driver, was also arrested and charged with hindering apprehension, fleeing in a vehicle, careless or prohibited driving. Perry was also wanted on a misdemeanor warrant.

3. Fleeing/possession of a controlled substance at 400 block of Angus St. An officer observed a vehicle run a stop sign at Angus and Jersey streets late Saturday night and initiated a traffic stop. The officer noticed suspected marijuana in plain sight. When a male passenger, Kenneth Bryant, 24, 1119 I St., North Little Rock, was told he was under arrest, he fled on foot. Both Bryant and an officer in pursuit tripped over a culvert and fell onto Ingram Street where, fearing for his safety, the officer struck Bryant several times. After the blows, Bryant was taken into custody without further incident and transported by MEMS to Conway Regional Medical Center. After the arrest, the officer noticed great pain in his right hand and also went to Conway Regional, where he learned that his hand was broken in two places. Bryant was charged with fleeing, obstruction of government operations for lying about his first name and possession of a controlled substance.

4. Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver at 200 block of Willow Street. An officer working off-duty at at the Willow Street Apartments made contact with Larry Victor Bradberry, 24, a resident of the apartments, as he sat in his car in the parking lot. The officer noticed a cigar in the vehicle. As marijuana is often added to cigars to make "blunts," the officer asked if Bradberry had anything illegal on his person, to which the man replied "yes." Bradberry handed over a small bag of suspected marijuana and was arrested. The officer then requested a K-9 unit to perform a "sniff" of the vehicle. K-9 Taxi performed the "sniff" and the dog's handler advised the officer to search the car. What is described in a report as "a large bag" of suspected marijuana was found.

5. Commercial burglary at 572 Harkrider St. (Longing Properties and Dr. K Chiropractic). At some time late Thursday night or early Friday morning, someone broke a window to enter the building and stole about $120 dollars.
