ASix young middle school Christians were confirmed in their faith at Greenbrier First United Methodist Church. They are Andy Franks, Jenna Kirk, William Elmore, Michael Franks, Jacob Logsdon, and Randy Wade.
After many weeks of intensive study with senior pastor John Farthing and associate pastor, Donna Bennett, they came before the whole congregation to profess their faith in God and Jesus Christ as their one and only Lord and Savior.
They further professed their understanding of the faith of the Church and promised to share that faith with others by their words and deeds. In turn, the whole congregation also promised to encourage and support them in their walk with God. Jacob Logsdon was also baptized prior to confirmation as all the families looked on and rejoiced with him.
The United Methodist Women presented each newly confirmed Christian with a new Bible to commemorate the occasion. The girls received NIV True Images: The Bible for Teen Girls. The boys received NIV Revolution: The Bible for Teen Guys.
