James Daniel Cooper was born Nov. 16, 1982 in Morrilton and went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2009 at Crittenden County Memorial Hospital in West Memphis. He was a 2003 graduate of Bigelow High School. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Russellville.
James enjoyed playing outside and swinging. His favorite show was "Bob the Builder" and he loved music and dancing. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Milton and Dorothy Brown and his paternal grandfather Jesse Cooper.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey Cooper, Russellville; his father and stepmother, Jerry and Joanie Cooper, Morrilton; his paternal grandmother, Lois Cooper, Morrilton; a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanie and Pedro Figueroa, nephew, Pedro Figueroa, Jr., niece, Lexie Figueroa and a cousin, Frankie Figueroa, all of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bible Baptist Church on Sparksford Drive in Russellville. Pastor Ron Kaufman will officiate. Burial will be at Thornburg Cemetery in Perry County by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
