Among reports recently generated by the Conway Police Department and the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office:

1. Drowning at Palarm Creek Park (on Highway 365 south of Mayflower). According to witnesses, 39-year-old Mondray C. Kelley of 3905 Ledbetter Drive, Conway, jumped into the creek at about 5 p.m. Saturday and didn't resurface. Faulkner County Rescue Squad divers and Pulaski County emergency workers located Kelley's body at about 7:30 p.m.

2. Commercial burglary at 1270 Bruce St, Conway. (Ms. D's Child Care). At some point on the night of June 23 or early morning of June 24 someone broke into the business and stole an infant high chair, a mitre saw and 15 children's chairs. Four windows were also broken by the thief or thieves in an apparent act of vandalism.

3. Criminal trespass/possible residential burglary at 1025 South Donaghey Ave, Conway. (University Park Apartments). A man reported that he was awakened at about 8 a.m. Thursday by someone who slammed his bedroom door shut. The intruder had exited before the man could get out of bed.

4. Motor vehicle theft at 1100 block of Pat's Lane, Conway. At some point between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 24 someone stole a 2003 GMC Yukon.

5. Breaking or entering at 401 Second St., Conway (ChapelRidge apartments). At some point late Sunday night or early Monday morning someone smashed the side window of a vehicle and stole a woman's purse.

6. Fraudulent uses of a credit card at several out-of-county locations. In three CPD incident reports released Tuesday but recorded between June 14 and 19, the credit card information of three Conway citizens was used to make $300 in purchases at a Walmart in Cincinnati, Ohio, $610 at various New York businesses and about $150 at Billy's Store on Belize's Ambergris Cay on the San Pedro peninsula.

7. Criminal mischief at a west Conway location. At some point very late Sunday night or early Monday morning someone spray-painted the words "nice car (expletive)," a vulgar anatomical rendering, a racial slur and a smiley face on a Chrysler sedan. The vehicle is listed in the report as belonging to the United States Secret Service.
