Local residents win at writing conference

The winners of the 2009 Arkansas Writers' Conference have been announced. The following are Faulkner County Residents.

The Prose Award: second place honorable mention, Amy Gray Light of Bigelow; third place honorable mention, Ellen Withers of Conway.

The Poetry Award: third place, Helene Stallcup of Conway.

The True Adventure Award: first place honorable mention Helene Stallcup of Conway.

The Arkansas Pioneer Branch Prose Award: first place, Lorna Stone of Conway.
