Church group holds picnic

The Golden Circle of First Baptist Church in Conway met for an annual picnic June 15 at Toad Suck Park Pavilion No. 1 on the Arkansas River with 38 members present.

After visiting among the members, Orville Roberts, president, called on George Rummel to offer a prayer.

Each member brought a sandwich.

Homemade ice cream was furnished by Rodney and Margaret Baker, Helen and Travis White, Mariel and Terry Turley and Mr. and Mrs. George Rummel.

Drinks were furnished by Evelyn Johnston and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bailey.

Cakes were furnished by Bess Graves, Charles and Kathy Wimberley, Charles and Ethel Mae Bettis, Faye Wofford and Wilburn and Vicie Sheffield.

Others attending included Betty Fraser, Rachel Stuart, Charley Naylor, Travis Norman, Faye Dean Roberts, Doris Martin, Hoyt and Elizabeth Carr, Clynell Cummins, Lavohn Farley, James and Mary Smith, Ed and Janette Kersey, Emma Lou Winningham, Betty Courtway and Hattie Ann Kelso.
