Rusty Ramsey and Beau Glover shot the low round of the tournament Sunday to defend their title in the Robert L. Ott Four-ball at Centennial Valley.

Ramsey and Glover fired 67-65, 132, 12-under par to overtake first round leaders and former champions Nick Simco and Jordan Short. They shot 66-71, 137.

"It was a two team race after yesterday," Ramsey said. "It took a little pressure off us when they shot that 66. It made us have to play harder."

Steve Turner and Tim Cain finished third at 74-68, 142, followed by Matt Butler and Scott May with 72-71-143; Tom and Brannon Watson, 75-68-143; Monty Longing and Ben Cox, 73-71-144; Randy and Chris Lloyd, 72-74-146; Jeremy Wallace and Chris Short, 77-71-148.

Ramsey, 26, has played a lot of golf lately since moving back to Conway. He will finish his business degree at the University of Central Arkansas.

"I'm trying to get my game so I can maybe sniff Beau," he said.

Glover, 24, won the Arkansas State Golf Association's Stroke Play championship last year and has recently decided to turn professional.

Ramsey said winning this tournament on his home course was important to him.

"It means the world," he said. "I love the tournament and I love the course. It was a true test of golf, especially the first day."
