Libby Croom of Russellville pulled off the biggest upset of the day at the Arkansas State Golf Association Mountain Valley Junior Match Play Championship at Foxwood Golf Club in Jacksonville, defeating Conway's Summar Roachell in Tuesday's semifinal round.
Croom defeated Roachell, the defending champion, 1-up to reach the finals. In the other semifinal, Micah Radler of Fayetteville defeated Madison Talley of Clarksville 3&2. Radler and Croom will square off in the championship match today.
In the boys division, the field of 64 has been trimmed to the quarterfinals.
Tim Netherton of Conway faces Nick Zimmerman of North Little Rock at 8 a.m.; Chad Matthews of Van Buren faces Drew Comer of Fort Smith at 8:10; Ethan King of Conway faces Rowdy Garrett of Fouke at 8:20; and Lane Hulse of Fordyce faces Colby Benton of Cabot at 8:30.
The winners will square off in the semifinals Wednesday afternoon. The boys finals are Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

Co-medalists Richard Zimmerman of Mountain Home and Andrew Flesher of Little Rock, both with two-under par 70s in qualifying, were both eliminated Tuesday. Zimmerman lost his morning match (round of 32) to Netherton 2&1 and Flesher lost in the afternoon (round of 16) to King.
