A group of concerned citizens planned a "town hall" meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Faulkner County Library meeting room to discuss recent Faulkner County election errors.
A mistake in reporting votes in the May 20 preferential primary and judicial election led to a reversal in the District 45 House of Representatives race. An audit by Election Systems & Software, the company that manufactures and partially programs the voting machines used by Faulkner County, is planned later this month. After the results of the audit, the Faulkner County Quorum Court will hold a meeting to discuss the nature of this most recent election night error and ways to prevent it from happening again.
Voters, candidates, county officials and concerned citizens are invited to attend.
