Among reports recently generated by the Conway Police Department and Faulkner County Sheriff's Office:

1. Commercial burglary at 1 Patton Road, Wooster (Wooster Grocery Store). Deputies responded before dawn May 25 to investigate a burglary at the store. Stolen merchandise included $60 worth of drinks, $51 dollars worth of cigarette lighters, $2,140 worth of cigarettes and $900 worth of snuff.

2. Residential burglary at 10-block of Levi Road (north of Lake Conway). Deputies responded May 20 to a residential burglary. Hunting rifles, an Insignia flat-screen TV, a laptop computer, a Bose radio and a box containing $25 in pennies were stolen.

3. Motor vehicle theft at 900 block of Chapel Hill Drive, Conway. At some point late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, someone stole a black 2004 Toyota Avalon sedan from a garage. Credit cards and a .22 caliber High Standard handgun were stolen from other vehicles in the garage.

4. Disturbance/fleeing at Dave Ward Drive. An officer was dispatched Monday afternoon to investigate a report of an unruly 17-year-old male. The teen explained to the officer he was displeased with his parents and didn't want to wait until he was 18 to distance himself from them. The officer calmed the boy and left. About 15 minutes later, the officer was advised that the boy's parents were en route to take him to Pinnacle Point Behavioral Center. About 40 minutes after this update, the officer was notified that the boy had leapt from his parents vehicle and was last seen by a Kimbery-Clark security guard hopping over the fence and continuing to run past the National Guard Armory. The officer responded to the area and was able to locate the boy and take him into custody. He was given the option of being charged with disorderly conduct, going to jail for a few days, and probably ending up at Pinnacle Point anyway or just getting back in the car and letting his parents take them there. The teen opted for the latter.

5. Minor in possession of alcohol at 1100 block of Old Morrilton Highway. Officers responding to reports of an accident involving a 15-year-old on a scooter Tuesday afternoon found that the teen was in possession of a 10-ounce cherry jar full of whiskey and a single menthol cigarette. The teen, who was on probation, was taken to jail and "issued several tickets," according to the report.
