Conway's Motorsports Authority will hold its fourth annual car show today on the Bank of America parking lot at 719 Harkrider St.

Vehicle entry fee is $25 at the event. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon. The show is expected to go until about 6 p.m.

More than 100 cars are expected, Motorsports Authority founder/owner Bryan Lin of Conway said. Other attractions will include an on-site dynamometer courtesy of Dyno Drag'n, a family-owned business in Tumbling Shoals (Cleburne County). For a fee, any two-wheel-drive vehicle can be tested for horsepower output and the car show crowd can hear performance engines put through their paces. Prizes will be awarded for cars with the highest horsepower and torque numbers.

On the subject of noise, there will also be a car audio system contest and a motorcycle burnout competition.

Bicycle relays will be held beginning at 3 p.m., and cash prizes will go to winners in adult and child categories.

Lin had arranged for the show to be held at main sponsor Caldwell Toyota/Scion's new dealership on Exchange Avenue, but the parking lot is still under construction.

Judging categories include best of show and best engine, paint, audio/video, motorcycle, motorcycle burnout, dyno king, people's choice, club participation, "old skool" car built prior to 1980, work in progress, SUV, lowrider/airbag suspension car, full-size truck, minitruck, domestic car, import car, Acura/Honda, Scion, Japanese domestic market cars and other categories formed depending on the vehicles that show up.
