Goode 12th in decathlon

Jake Goode of Conway finished 12th in the 2009 high school decathlon, the highest placement for any Faulkner County athlete in the event at Cabot High School.
Goode scored 6,035. Ethan Turpen of Lake Hamilton won the event with 7,805 points.
The Wampus Cats' Ryan Kotch finished 27th with 4,842 points.
In the girls hepthathlon, Vilonia's Bailey Sisson was 23rd with 3,326 points. Kristen Celsor of Searcy won with 5,468 points. Amy Smith of Guy-Perkins amassed 2,556 points for 36th place.
