A close call between two vehicles turned violent Saturday when two Conway women allegedly used their car to drag another woman down a gravel road near Glen Echo Trailer Park.

According to statements given to Conway police, the incident started when two Conway women attempting to turn were almost hit by a car driven by two other Conway women. The driver of the first car got out her vehicle and went to the passenger's side of the other vehicle to confront them. The passenger then allegedly grabbed her arm and told the driver to "floor it."

The driver accelerated, dragging the woman approximately 400 feet, according to an officer's estimate. When the driver stopped, she got out of the car and struck the woman in the face. The two fought until officers arrived to find the driver holding the woman in a headlock and hitting her repeatedly in the face.

Police used pepper spray to subdue the woman.

The driver also allegedly threatened the lives of the two other women.

The two women accused of dragging the woman were arrested and taken to the Faulkner County Detention Center.

The woman who was dragged was taken to Conway Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries. Her condition was not available at press time.
