We had a good day of worship for Mother's Day this past Sunday. The honorary/memorial bouquets of red and white roses graced the altar area. The Fagala sisters, Lauren, Kelsey, and Kaylen sang for the special music. Bro. Larry Geraldson, Associate Pastor of Evangelism and Missions at Central Baptist Church in Conway, was our guest speaker for the day. His morning message was "Depart From Me", Matthew 7:21-23; The evening message "How To Keep Your Head Above Water - A Lesson In Faith" from Matthew 14:22-23, stressing,Be Prepared For The Storm.
This past Tuesday evening the Adult Sunday School Class met in the Family Life Center for their monthly Class meeting. There was a famous star cast present straight from the "Hee-Haw" stage to perform for the audience. Tammy Wynette (Linda Hammontree) was the emcee for the show.
Other cast members were, Roy Clark (Calvin Davis), Buck Owens ( Rod Davis), Minnie Pearl (Hazel Love), Junior Sample (Melvin Bone), Archie Campbell (Bill Love), Patsy Cline (Kay Reynolds), Willie Nelson (Ed Hammontree), Loretta Lynn (Charlotte Davis), and prompter, Kathy Davis. Then there was a special guest that saw all of the cars and thought that we were having a prayer meeting at the church and came to pray, Barbara Glover. We all enjoyed a good meal of country cooking. There was at least 48 members and guests present for the big show. Don't let it be said that old folks can't have fun.
Wednesday evening we were blessed by the combined Children's Choirs from Bethlehem and Wooster First Baptist Church performing "Life School Musical". If you did not get to see them at Bethlehem, they will be performing again tomorrow evening at Wooster First Baptist. They did a great job!. Thanks to Tracy McAllister and her volunteers and the staff from Wooster.
Sorry, I didn't get their names. Thanks to all who worked to serve the meal for the kids and to those who furnished cookies for the reception.
