Quitman High School and Guy-Perkins High School are conducting a free College Preparatory Enrichment Program at Quitman High School from 8 a.m. to noon beginning June 17. The class will be held Monday through Thursday and will last five weeks. This course is designed to help students raise their ACT scores above the remediation level or possibly into the scholarship range. Test-taking techniques will be taught, a review of subject matter will be offered and timed practice tests will be given.

By raising their scores above remediation level, students will save time and money in college by eliminating the need to take remedial courses that provide no college credit. With satisfactory completion of the course, students may take a free ACT test July 19.

Eligible students may enroll by contacting Joan Shaw at Quitman High School or Sandra Oliver at Guy-Perkins High School. Deadline to sign up will be June 2. The first meeting will be at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 17 at Quitman High School.
