The University of Central Arkansas Community School of Music presents Andrew Bourgoin in his senior piano recital at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The performance will be held in the Snow Fine Arts Recital Hall on the UCA campus and is free and open to the public. Works to be performed include a Beethoven concerto, a Bach prelude, two etudes by Chopin and a concerto for clarinet and piano by Saint-Saens. Pianist Janet Gingerich, director of music at First United Methodist Church of Conway, will accompany Bourgoin on the Beethoven and clarinetist Kinsey Fournier will perform on the Saint-Saens.
Bourgoin is a student of Dr. Carl Anthony, professor of music at UCA. Since beginning piano lessons at age 7, he has also studied with Jen See Lee, Bart Dooley, Brent Sherwood and Joan Huang. A senior at Conway High.
Bourgoin is a frequent accompanist for the Conway Public School choirs and many vocal and instrumental soloists. He is a member of the Conway High School Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, the CHS Marching Band and Symphonic Band, and the Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra. He has also served as staff accompanist for Grace United Methodist Church of Conway since 2004.
