Five Brazilians from the state of Santa Catarena spent four days in Conway as part of a Rotary International Group Study Exchange lasting four weeks in this Rotary District. They also toured sites in Hot Springs, Camden, El Dorado, Warren, Washington, Russellville and Magnolia.

They were hosted by members of Conway Rotary Club and Conway Morning Rotary with a highlight being the parade and concert by Kris Allen. They saw a Twisters game and toured the Clinton Presidential Center, Heifer Ranch and Conway Regional Medical Center. At UCA they were welcomed by Matt Chiorini of the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre and staff of the Oxford American.

Visiting were Cristiana da Luz of Pinhalzinho, manager of a language school and wife of the mayor of her town; Lucio Kuren dos Passo of Porto Uniao, a German teacher and professional photographer; Luciano Colpo Gatiboni of Leges, a professor of agronomy; Andrea Karina Spitzner de Paula e Silva, a nurse; and Darley Pedro Martini, a dentist who was group leader and a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow.

Rotarians hosting were Tim McKenna, chairman of the project; Dr. Sharon Stone, LeRoy Hendricks and Becky Harris. Dan Allen, Bill Simmons, Lowell McClanahan and Steve Floyd assisted with arrangements.
