 Cancun, Mexico is the setting for a beach wedding on June 21 of Julie Renee Mitchell and Jonathan Dennis Jones, both of Conway.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Donald and Vicki Mitchell of Conway, and the granddaughter of Joyce T. McCraw and the late James Eugene McCraw of Sherwood, Gerry Mitchell and the late TL Mitchell of Conway.
She is a 2004 graduate of Conway High School. She attended Arkansas Tech University for two years and was a member of the Golden Suns softball team. She currently attends Baptist School of Registered Nursing where she will graduate in December 2009.
The prospective groom is the son of Paul and Danna Jones of Conway, and the grandson of John and Jo Ann Hurley and the late Margaret Jones of Conway and the late Virgil Jones of Morrilton.
He is a 2002 graduate of Conway High School. He attended Arkansas Tech University on a baseball scholarship and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's of fine arts degree in history. While a member of the Tech baseball team, he was honored as "freshman of the year" in 2003 and was selected for the GSC West Division All Conference team in 2005. He is currently an insurance agent for AFLAC
After returning from Mexico, the couple will be honored by the bride's parents at a reception held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Conway, June 28 at 7 p.m.
Following the wedding, the couple will reside at their home in Conway.
