HENDRIX TRUSTEES DECIDE TO ADD FOOTBALL
After a 13-month study and debate, Hendrix College's board of trustees has decided to add football to the college's athletic program. Football was discontinued at Hendrix after the 1960 season because of costs. No timetable was set for football to be implemented, but trustees said the sport will only be implemented after start-up costs are raised from external sources. Trustees have also voted to add women's lacrosse with the same stipulation. Further details in Wednesday's editions of the Log Cabin Democrat.

Steve and Lois Coney of North Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Juanita Coney of Greenbrier.

The groom is the son of Tommy Fowlkes and Michael and Leta Stuckey of Conway.

The couple hold in memory Homer Coney, Carl and Jerry Zajac, grandparents of the bride; Beverley Zajac, aunt of the bride; Harold and Lois Fowlkes, Coy and Jewell Ruple, grandparents of the groom; and Shelly Fowlkes sister of the groom.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin and chiffon burnout split front A-line gown with beaded neckline, ruched bodice and sweep train. She wore diamond and pearl earrings and carried a bouquet of white roses.

Shannon Foster, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Flower girls were Alexis and Anna Klaire Roach, daughters of the bride, and Ally Foster, niece of the bride.

Steven Moore served as best man. Noah Foster, nephew of the bride was the ring bearer.

The reception was held at the home of the groom's parents in Cresthaven. Pink roses adorned the dining room table where the wedding cake and punch were served. The groom's cake and table were decorated with a razorback theme. Amber hurricanes and pillar candles centered the kitchen island where guests were served hors d'oeuvres.

The bride is a kindergarten teacher at Pine Forest Elementary School in Maumelle. The groom is employed by Garver Engineers in Little Rock. The couple resides in North Little Rock.
