   
Birding Big Day to be held at Mount Magazine
On Saturday many locations around the country will be conducting bird-related activities as part of the International Migratory Bird Day. Here at Mount Magazine State Park, we are calling it Birding Big Day. Our family-friendly activities are designed to interest beginning and experienced birders. The main attraction will be a demonstration of live birds of prey in the care of wildlife rehabilitator Lynn Sciumbato.
Birding activities will spill over into Sunday with an early morning guided walk to listen to a morning chorus of avian songsters.
All Birding Big Day programs are free and open to the public. Contact the park at 479-963-8502 for the complete program schedule. Mount Magazine State Park is located 19 miles south of Paris and 10 miles north of Havana on Scenic Highway 309.
