Gladys Cox, 86, of Fayetteville, died Friday in Conway.
She was born July 28, l921, in Sunset, the daughter of Jack H. and Gertie L. Evans Davis. She babysat many children who knew her as Granny Cox and she loved them all. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cox, who died March 30, 1998.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Cox Watson and husband Col JohnUSMC Retired of Jacksonville, Fla., and Trella Cox Nabholz and husband Eddieof Conway; two brothers, Eldon Davis of Patrick,Weldon "Sonny" Davis ofRound Mountain Community; four sisters, Mary"Bunch" Dennis of Fayetteville,Jerryldene Payton of Fayetteville, Carmel Elkins of Wichita, Kan., and Flo Taber of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchildren, Sheri Arceo and Husband Ernesto of Jacksonville, Fla.,Anna Nabholz and Rachael Nabolz ofConway; five great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Daniel, Anastasia, Felicia and Max Arceo, all of Jacksonville, Fla.
Services were held at l0 a.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery.
Visitation was from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Moore's Chapel.
Officiating:Brother Toby Bane.
