Central Baptist College recently hosted its annual Student Appreciation Dinner on April 24 on the CBC campus lawn. The dinner hosted more than 200 students, faculty and staff for an ultimate Cajun Style feast.
The event started at 5 p.m. with an awards ceremony where various departments handed out awards to students. This included awards presented by the various education departments as well as the athletic and music departments and Student Services.
At 6 p.m. it was time for dinner on the plaza. The menu consisted of crawfish, shrimp, chicken tenders, boiled potatoes, corn on the cob, Texas toast, and dessert. The meal was prepared by Travis Faulk and Luke Scott as well as Central Baptist College Dining Services, under the direction of Chef Jill McCollum. Sam Hutto, Kathy Linn, and Rachel Scott were also on hand to serve as event volunteers.
Faculty and staff helped set up for the event, cook, and serve to show their appreciation to the student body for a great year.
Following the dinner, the CBC Student Men's Organization hosted their annual, Spring Fling. This included two bands, inflatables, and a dunking booth.
