Wendell E. 'Gene' Martin

Wendell E. "Gene" Martin, 70, of Greenbrier passed away Friday (April 22, 2005).

He was born July 22, 1934, in Tulsa, Okla., to the late Walter Martin and Wynona Clinton Martin.

He was a member of The Chickasaw Nation and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2259.

Survivors are a son, Kevin E. Martin of Hazelhurst, Miss.; daughter, Christa Coleman of Hensley, Ark.; son, Major Conan A. Martin of Boerne, Texas; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; ex-wife, Phyllis R. Martin of Boerne, Texas; sister, Connie Tornavacca of Malvern; brother, Bill Martin of Corona, Calif.; sister, Sherry Martin of Mexico; brother, Ronnie Martin of Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier (501) 679-2575 with Rev. James Reed officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, with Military Honors by the Honor Guard of Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 2259.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
