University of Central Arkansas senior Andy Shanks, 24, tries as much as possible not to think about the future of the world and is nonchalant about his own.

"It'll just happen anyway," he said. "I don't think about the future of the world because I can't do anything about it."
Shanks will graduate in May with a bachelor's in English. He is a writer.
He doesn't seem too worried about his future, which is why he doesn't think about it too much, he said.
"Employment is out there," he said. "There are always options out there. You can't just wait until they come to you."
He expressed strong views about corporate America.
"I feel threatened by corporate America in that it's basically dehumanizing everybody," he said.
Technology takes another role in the world.
"I'm not down on technology," he said. "I think people tend to preoccupy themselves with that rather than the plight of humanity or whatever."
He basically takes things as they come, day-by-day.
"I worry about the little things, not the big things," he admits. He does this, he said, because he is "disgusted with the world."
