Houk's single in 11th lifts Bears

ANGOLA, Ind. Hendrix College attackmen Clayton Cersonsky and Daniel Fox both scored an unassisted goal in the Warriors' 9-2 loss to Tri-State University on Friday afternoon in lacrosse action.

Hendrix was held scoreless the entire first half, while the Thunder scored five goals in the second quarter to take an early lead.

Fox scored the Warriors' first goal with 7:00 left in the third quarter to make it 5-1. Tri-State found the back of the net once in the third to keep its five-goal advantage. Cersonsky put his shot past the goalie with 7:25 left in the final quarter, while the Thunder answered with three goals in the fourth to go on for the win.

Hendrix was outshot 44-15 and trailed 37-25 in ground balls. Both teams were even on faceoffs at 4 of 8.

Hendrix falls to 0-8 overall in NCAA action. The Warriors will wrap up their weekend road trip with a 1 p.m. contest at Adrian College on Sunday.
