Conway Ministerial Alliance recognizes National Day of Prayer

Published Friday, April 11, 2008

On Thursday, May 1, the Conway Ministerial Alliance will hold a special time of prayer at 11:45 a.m. at Faulkner County Courthouse. The theme of the prayer time will be "Prayer! America's Strength and Shield" The purpose of the prayer meeting will be to pray for Freedom Five. This is an initiative that challenges one to commit to prayer for our country on a daily basis. It involves praying for five minutes a day about the five centers of power (government, media, education, church and family). By targeting these specific areas, America can experience the freedom that accompanies God's power.

Dr. Washispack who is organizing for Conway stated, "Our theme verse is Psalm 28:7: 'The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped.' We encourage everyone to take time to be involved in this prayer meeting."
