   
No. 12 Sooners too much for Bears
NORMAN, Okla. Twelfth-ranked Oklahoma outhit Central Arkansas 24-3 and hit four home runs en route to a 23-1, five-inning victory in softball action Wednesday night. The Sooners (28-8) scored four runs in the first, one in the second, four in the third and 14 in the fourth.
The Bears (2-26) only run came on a solo homer by sophomore Hannah Ambrose in the top of the third. Senior Janae Owens and sophomore each recorded a hit for UCA.
Susan Ogden went 3 for 5 with six runs batted in for OU. Haley Anderson was 3 for 4 with five RBI.
Lauren Eckermann and Jadyn Smith combined to strike out seven batters for the Sooners. The UCA pitching staff allowed 19 earned runs and walked three.
The Bears will play Northwestern State in Natchitoches, La., in a Southland Conference series beginning Saturday.
