Mount Vernon-Enola PTO holds variety show

The Mount Vernon-Enola Parent-Teacher Organization held its second annual "Hometown Variety Show" on March 8.

The event began with a spaghetti supper at 5 p.m., followed by the variety show. Susy Webb, PTO president, and Mark McEntire, PTO member, were hosts for the show, which was filled with song, dance and "side-splitting humor." According to Webb, one of the many crowd-pleasers was a slide show featuring many of the elementary school students.

The event raised approximately $1,800.

"The PTO would like to thank everyone who made the show possible and such a great success," said Webb in a prepared statement. "Thanks to all the parents who served, performed or encouraged their children to perform. Thanks to the MVE teachers and staff for your cooperation and talents."
