A record-breaking crowd turned out Feb. 10 to enjoy "all the chocolate" they could eat during the 11th annual Chocoholics Dream Night Out. Sponsored by the Humane Society of Faulkner County, the event was held at First Presbyterian Church in Conway. Local businesses and individuals prepare their favorite chocolate recipes and donate them to be served at the event.

An estimated 530 individuals participated in the event, which raised about $22,000 to support humane society programs.

"The support for this year's event was fantastic," said Donna Stephens, board chairman. "We want to thank all of our sponsors for their support. The success of this event would not have been possible without our sponsors and those who contributed chocolate desserts."

"We want to thank everyone for their help," she said.

The humane society's mission is to prevent cruelty to animals through education, spay-neuter programs and abuse-neglect investigations while also providing shelter for abandoned animals where they will be evaluated, treated and placed into appropriate homes.
