This past week has been a pretty rough week for a lot of us. This community has lost another great long-time, well-loved person in the community. Mr. Till Thorn lost the battle with cancer last week. His visitation was last Sunday night at the Copperas Springs Baptish Church. The church was full and the hallway was standing room only. What a great legacy for his family to see and hear how much he was loved. Till was always one of my favorite people guess because I have known him all my life. He was friends with my parents and he always had good things to say to me and I never heard him say anything bad about anyone. He always told me he knew I was a go-getter and could get things done especially if it was important and would be good for the community. He will be greatly missed by friends and especially by Margaret, Danny, Monta Jean and family and friends. Margaret, Danny& Joyce, Monta Jean and Monty and family we are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. If i can be of any help to any one of you please let me know. Love you all.

Last Wednesday night, my dear friends Sue Clay, Weda Matthews, Sylvia Barton, Robbie Ward, JW May and Sonny May lost their mother after being blessed to have her for 95 years. There was 390 people that signed the book at visitation and you know there was some that didn't sign in. This family was blessed like the Thorn family with many friends and relatives that love Grandma Alie. She was the brightest woman at her age that I knew. She could tell you how many kids people had who they were married and remembered birthdays. Her legacy will be well remembered by all her grandchildren, great-grand and great-great and great-great-great-grandchildren. Please keep this family in your prayers. They will all miss her, but it will especially be hard on Sue and Sonny since they lived with her every day. We love all of you.

Our deepest sympathy goes to the family of Erma Cole who lost her father last week too. Please keep this family in your prayers too.

Thank you for the information on the mail order brides, Sonny May, richard Harris and Tommy Jo Valentine were all excited that I got an answer for them. Good luck guys.

Happy Birthday to Gary Fielder. He will have a birthday next week. Gary we wish you many more birthdays to come. I told him Danny Thorn, Mike (Greek)Miller, Terry (Bones) Williams, Chris(BosoCharloette and Gary Mode that we had to stop meeting at funerals. We all graduated together and never see one another. Next year will be our 40th year out of school. Can you believe it? We all agreed that we are having a reunion next year. So, if you are out there the Guy Perkins Class of 1970 and have any great ideas for a reunion, get back with me or I will just have to plan it myself and epect you all to be there. So hunt up your old school pictures and year books and get them ready to bring with you. So we can all laugh at how good we use to look.

Gary Griffith came to spend Friday night with Mom, Betty Griffith and stayed all day Saturday. Mom was really tired after going to all the visitations and funerals this past weekend.

Please keep Trish Thorn, Noreen and Wandel Acre in your prayers. Also keep Lynn Acre in your prayers. It is my understanding according to Boso that she fell at Harts Restaurant and had to have surgery on her elbow and spent several days in the hospital. Get well soon Lynn. Keep any one else in yur prayers that has been sick in the community or has lost loved ones lately.
