Tonya Michelle Martin of Malvern became the bride of Vincent Kelly Dunlap of Conway at 6:30 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 12, 2002) in Meadow View Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern.
Parents of the couple are Marty and Bonita Martin of Malvern and Eddie and Shelia Dunlap of Conway.
Fred Etheridge of Malvern officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The church was decorated in shades of blue, white and silver. The front of the church was decorated with hurricane candles nestled in tulle-wrapped garland, one arch candelabra and two spiral candelabras decorated with arrangements of cala lilies and white roses and two large arrangements matching the candle decor. White columns framed the front of the setting.
Rosemary and Stephanie Walker of Sparkman (Dallas County) sang "I Will Be Here." Monica Martin of Batesville read poetry.
Drew Childers and Tyler Gray of Malvern lit the candles.
Mr. Martin escorted his daughter to the altar. The bride wore a white gown with a sleeveless bodice and chapel-length train. An organza overlay decorated with white floral embroidery and seed pearls highlighted the gown. Her chapel-length veil was secured to a silver tiara. Her pearl jewelry included earrings, necklace and bracelet.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, baby's breath and ivy with streaming white ribbon.
Shormi Jahan of Pine Bluff was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mollie Parker of Malvern and Elizabeth Dunlap of Conway.
The attendants wore navy blue dresses of crepe and satin and carried single white roses with silver ribbon.
Flower girls were Krista Childers, Kara Childers and Sady Martin, all of Malvern, and Hannah Bickers of Ada, Okla. Ringbearer was Brody Martin of Malvern.
Hud Dunlap of Conway acted as best man. Groomsmen were Chad Martin of Malvern and Joshua Carroll of Conway. Ushers were Mike Terry of Conway and Ryan Dossey of DeQueen.
The mother of the bride wore a navy blue dress accented with navy embroidery. The mother of the groom wore a navy dress with a jacket accented with sequins and embroidery.
A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.
The serving tables were decorated in a winter theme featuring snow-flocked trees with shades of blue and silver. The bride's four-tiered cake featured a snowflake decor. The groom's cake included petit fours in the shape of a periodic table.
Servers included Vicki Austin, Louann Gage, Betty Bates, Peggy Hughen, Shirley Voss, Debbie Westerman, Shirley Daniel and Carolyn Overton.
Julie Pennington and Ashley Scott, both of Malvern, presided at the bride's book.
After a trip to Boston, the couple are at home in Malvern.
