AARP to offer Drivers Safety Program

Published Sunday, January 30, 2005

AARP will present a Drivers Safety Program from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, and Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Faulkner County Library.

The course is designed to help individuals age 55 and older to improve their driving skills and learn how to prevent traffic accidents.

Registration fee is $10, which covers the cost of materials each person will receive. The fee is to be paid the first day of class. The course is available to all persons age 55 and over whether or not they are members of AARP.

Some automobile insurance companies provide premium discounts to graduates of the course. AARP recommends participants contact their insurance agents to confirm the possible discount.
