Council to vote on street budget

The Conway City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall to consider final approval on the 2002 street department budget.

Also on the agenda is the consideration of annual bids for materials and services for the street department, a consideration of a request by Tim Tyler to close alleys in Fiddlers Survey and Jones Addition and to close a utility easement in Wescon Estates and:

* A request for a sign variance for property on Prince Street where the Pepper Pan was.

* An ordinance appropriating funds for a local area network for the fire department.

* An ordinance appropriating funds for new computers and software for the fire department.

* An ordinance transferring funds from the sanitation capital surcharge replacement fund.

* Consideration of bids for Tucker Creek Trail, Phase 2.

* Consideration of bids for commercial trash containers for the sanitation department.

* Consideration of bids for fitness centers.

* Consider a special meeting to approve lighting bids for the Don Owen Sports Complex.

The animal control ordinance will be discussed at a 5 p.m. committee meeting.
