Library to offer nutrition class

Published Thursday, January 08, 2009

The Faulkner County Library will offer a community Nutrition class. The class is free, but sign up is required.

To sign up, e-mail sarah@fcl.org with your name and phone number with the subject head: "Community Nutrition," call 327-7482 or sign up at the circulation desk.

This informative class will meet once a week, every Tuesday from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. There will be four sessions beginning Tuesday.

This is a time when most people make their New Year's resolutions to eat healthier and to lose weight but have no idea on how to go about it.

The class will cover the health benefits of eating nutritiously, losing weight, setting realistic goals, the importance of a healthy environment, benefits of exercise and positive thinking. The class will be interactive while maintaining a low-key, helping environment.

Margaret Pauly will be the instructor. Pauly is a graduate student at University of Central Arkansas studying to be a registered dietitian. She also teaches behavior modification classes at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences weight loss clinic.

For more information or to sign up, contact Sarah Mattingly at 327-7482 or e-mail her at sarah@fcl.org.
